Gomu Review and Giveaway

Forget those crazy silly bands, there is a new collecting craze going on at my kid's school, and its Gomu!  Gomu are these cute, colorful erasers that my daughter cannot get enough of.  These little guys can come apart so you can mix and match or trade with your friends.  Each one has a point value that tells you how rare they are and there are over 100 to collect.

What's really cool is that you can keep track of your collection and total points right on their website.  There's all kinds of Gomu too, everything from animals, to gadgets, to beauty and fashion accessories.  You can buy them in a pack of 1 ($.99), 3 ($2.99) or 6 ($4.99) and you can get them at Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart and Toys R Us and are recommended for ages 6 and up due to small parts.

Left eye is red, right eye is blue for the glasses.

Johnny Test Game for DS Review

My kids like to play on their DS's, especially on long car rides or when we have to wait at a doctor's office.  Now there's a new game based on the Johnny Test cartoon from 505 Games.  If your kids like the show, they will love this game. You can play as Johnny or his alter egos, Johnny X and Trooper J.  The plot is that Johnny has gotten into one of his twin sister's science experiments again and he plunges their town of Porkbelly into complete chaos.  Now Johnny and his sidekick pup Dukey have to get through 12 physics-bending, mind altering, crazy levels to save their friends. Use a wide variety of crazy gadgets from the sister's laboratory to break all the limits and barriers in your way. You will run into all your friends and enemies from the show, including Johnny's sisters, Gil, Bling-Bling Boy, Mr. Whacko, and Brain Freezer. 

This game is full o non-stop action, and my favorite part is that you do not need to use the stylus.  I also like the fact that there is a goal in this game, I'm not a an of games that go on and on and don't have set goal.  This game gets more and more challanging as you go along, but it is not hard to figure out how to play.  I reccomend this game for anyone who enjoys the show or just level games, it is a lot of fun.

End the Basket Madness.....

What I always dread after Easter is the leftover baskets.  Year after year, they pile up in your basement, you can't sell them at your yard sale, heck, you can't give the darn things away.  We started a new tradition....we re-use our baskets every year.  I got the kids two nice baskets and each year they leave them out for the Easter Bunny to fill, you know, kind of like stockings for Santa to fill.  Your basement will thank you, oh, and in honor of Earth Day, your landfill will thank you.
